Catwalk

The pre-fall 2011 collections are now out. There were not that many collections to look at, and Chanel’s Byzantine celebration got the most attention from the fashion peoples. My three favorite collections, however, were by Thakoon, Jason Wu, and Rag & Bone. Here are some of the looks I liked most.

All three collections are very different and appeal to women with dissimilar tastes, lifestyles, etc. Having said that, all three share an easiness and effortlessness to them that always speaks to me when I think of a collection for pre-fall. I figure, you are sick and tired of having spent the past three months or so sweating your ass off, whether by running errands in a big megapolis or trying to get the perfect tan on a beach somewhere where is was hitting 40° Celsius. So, all you want to do (or at least I want to do), is to finally be able to throw on something comfortable that won’t be too heavy for the changing weather, but will also finally let you pass an evening without worrying that something will fall out of your bathing suit and that you didn’t shave 99% of your body the previous night.

Ah, pre-fall is a beautiful time. I always thought it was the time when everyone looks best – rested, tanned, and ready for some cool breeze. Check out the rest of the looks below.
